FORT WORTH -- Dan Garcia Jr., 59, who retired as an assistant supervisor after 30 years with Shady Valley Golf Course, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita Catholic Church. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Garcia was born June 2, 1942, in Refugio.

Survivors: Wife, Severa Garcia of Fort Worth; sons, Oliver Gonzales and wife, Terri, of Fort Worth and Larry Garcia and wife, Helen, of Alvarado; daughter, Sarah Newsome and husband, Kevin, of Arlington; parents, Elida Firova and Dan Garcia; brother, Ramon Garcia and wife, Rose, of Salado; sister, Gabriela Vallderama and husband, Armando; grandchildren, Jessica Larson, Melissa Newsome, Sheila Hogness, Hayley Fowler, Chloe Gonzales and Tyler Newsome; great-grandsons, James Meza and Anthony Hogness; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Porkchop.

ARLINGTON -- Mary Louise McMillin, 72, loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home.

Mary Louise McMillin was born Sept. 2, 1929 in San Antonio. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
